Pistol with locking block
The invention relates to a pistol, on the plastic housing, a barrel containing the barrel is guided in the longitudinal direction, which housing at the transition to a handle has a trigger guard, and in which housing a locking block is arranged.
For guns with a plastic housing, the metal parts are molded around the slide carriage and the latch and pickup parts of the trigger, such as in the Glock pistol. The positionally accurate insertion of the metal parts in the injection mold is laborious and ensures no dimensionally stable product, because the inserts can be moved by the sprayed under high pressure into the mold plastic. Subsequent mechanical processing is often required.
From AT 254 752 B it is known to accommodate the guide and parts of the trigger in a multifunction part which extends over the greater part of the length of the gun to behind the magazine shaft. The multifunctional part is expensive in the production and because of its length, the thermal expansion must be considered in the choice of tolerances.
It is therefore an object of the invention, the unit consisting of locking block and guide the carriage is easy to manufacture. According to the invention this is achieved in that the locking block forms a unit with the guide of the carriage, which is arranged in front of the magazine shaft and extends forward approximately as far as the trigger guard. The guide is thus reduced to the length of the locking block. Guide elements at the front and at the rear end of the housing are therefore no longer necessary. The short locking block can be very accurately and easily positioned and fastened in the housing and no rework is required. Furthermore, so the grooves in the carriage can be shorter, which significantly reduces the processing costs.
This solution is remarkable in that it breaks with the common teaching that precise guidance requires the largest possible guide length. Since only slight vertical forces are to be transmitted because of the position of the guide grooves in the carriage, outweighs the advantage of the achievable more precise guidance.
In a practical embodiment, the locking block is fixed in the housing by means of a first front and a second rear transverse pin and receives a locking bolt approximately above the second transverse pin. The cross pins pass through the housing and allow easy and accurate mounting of the locking block and the guide. This accuracy benefits not only its function, but also the leadership of the carriage. The locking pin cooperates with a nose on the barrel when locking and unlocking. He passes through the locking block, which is anchored in the housing.
In a system with the lock unlocked, the locking bolt can serve as a stable stop for a run. This also applies to positive locks by means of rollers.
The locking block has a longitudinally extending deep trough in which there is room for the nose at the bottom of the carriage and which is crossed by the locking bolt. A useful detail is that the locking bolt is supported on the rear wall of the locking block. As a result, the locking bolt is less stressed.
In a preferred embodiment, the unit comprising the locking block and the guide of the carriage consists of the actual locking block and on both sides each a guide plate, which is connected by means of the first transverse pin and the locking bolt with the locking block and the housing. Thereby, the shape of the locking block is easier and the guide plates can be manufactured as simple stampings with the required precision. This makes the production of this unit considerably cheaper. The separation of the guide plates from the locking block also allows the free choice of materials, according to the different strength requirements. The guide plates are fixed together with the locking block by means of the transverse pins or the locking bolt, so do not need their own fasteners. This further simplifies the production and assembly.
To form the engaging in the grooves of the carriage guide elements, the guide plates near their front and rear end in the horizontal bent outwardly directed claws on. These can be bent in one operation with the punching.
Thanks to the location and the claws at a shorter distance than conventional guides (from the front to the rear of the housing), the guide grooves need only extend over part of the length of the carriage, which shortens the machine time with a precision milling cutter. For the purpose of mounting the carriage on the guide, the grooves have at two points downwardly open openings, wherein the length and the distance of the openings from one another correspond to the length and the distance of the claws of the guide plates.
The position of the openings in the guide grooves of the carriage corresponds to its mounting position, which is about the length of the openings before the ready position. The carriage thus needs to be placed only from above the housing and moved by the length of the claws to the rear until a Zerleghebel engages in the corresponding recess.
An advantageous development is that the guide plates are inserted into recesses in the side walls of the locking block. They are so positively inserted into the locking block. The positive engagement creates additional force transmission and facilitates assembly.
If necessary, it may be advantageous to provide an additional side guide for the carriage. Then the guide plates between the front and the rear claw each have an upwardly directed tab. These flaps abut the vertical inner wall of the carriage. This case may occur, for example, when the claws do not reach the bottom of the grooves.
The freedom in material selection achieved with the separation of the guide elements from the actual locking block can be used to make the second of a different material, for example a suitable plastic. Suitable means that the plastic must have the necessary strength and impact resistance and, if possible, also has a damping effect. The latter increases the comfort for the shooter. The use of a plastic in a deterrent block of a pistol initially seemed absurd. Experiments have shown, however, that this is very possible thanks to the invention and no appreciable wear occurs even in long series of experiments. An aramid reinforced with glass fibers has proven particularly useful.
In the following the invention will be described and explained with reference to the following figures:
1: Embodiment of the gun according to the invention in an external view,
2: exploded view of FIG. 1 FIG. 3: detail of the part 6 of FIG. 2 FIG. 4: variant of FIG. 3, FIG.
5 shows details of the parts 6, 7 in FIG. 2 (parts in an embodiment close to the embodiment), FIG.
6: Part 5, seen from below,
7 shows a longitudinal section according to VII-VII in FIG. 6, FIG.
8 shows a cross-section according to VIII-VIII in FIG. 7, enlarged.
In Fig. 1, the housing made of plastic with 1, the handle with 2 and the trigger guard is denoted by 3. On the housing 1, a run 4 receiving carriage 5 is guided in the longitudinal direction. Its housing-fixed Führangselemente 6 and guide grooves 7 in the carriage 5 are here indicated only because described in detail below. Likewise, a locking block 8. The handle 2 includes a magazine shaft, not shown.
In Fig. 2, several details can be seen. In the housing 1, a space 11 for receiving the unit consisting of the locking block 8 and the here separate guide elements 6 is given behind a stop 10 for the carriage 5. These together occupy the entire width of the room 11. This unit is defined in the housing 1 by means of transverse pins 12,13, which pass through the holes 14,15 and 16. The length of the locking block 8 is approximately equal to the length of the trigger guard 3. Before him is room for a return spring, not shown. In the holes 18 in the side walls 20 of the locking block 8 sits transversely a locking pin 17. This acts in a known manner with a nose 19 on the bottom of the barrel 4 together. Between the side walls 20 is a free space 21 for the nose 19. The guide elements 6 are sheets which rest on the one hand on the locking block 8 and on the other hand on the inner walls of the housing 1.
Fig. 3 shows such a guide element 6 increases. It is in its basic form a flat stamped part of a very hard or hardened sheet metal with at its upper edge a first (23) and a second (24) bent outwards at right angles claws 23,24. These engage in guide grooves 7 of the carriage 5 a. Holes 15, 16 are penetrated for attachment in the housing 1 of the transverse pins 12,13. The smaller holes 22 receive ends of the locking bolt 17.
Fig. 4 as a variant shows between the two claws 23,24 an upwardly directed tab 25 which can provide additional lateral guidance in cooperation with the inner walls of the carriage 5.
Fig. 5 shows the locking block 8 with all details. The guide plates 6 could simply rest against the outer wall of the locking block 8. Here, however, they are positively inserted in recesses 31 in the side walls of the locking block 8. The guide plates 6 are formed here as angled plates with a vertical 32 and a horizontal leg 33. Thus, the locking block 8 occupy the full width of the space 11 in the housing 1. There is also more room for further functional installations inside the interlocking block. These may be an unillustrated trigger mechanism with springs and carriage catch. Only a functional bore 30 can be seen here. Between the side walls 20 there is a free space 21 which ends at the rear on a rear wall 26. At this rear wall 26, the locking pin 17 is supported.
In Fig. 6, 7 and 8, the carriage 5 can be seen with its guide grooves 7.
In its basic form, it is a hollow cuboid with the side walls 34 and a top wall 35 which is pierced by an opening window 36. He ends up in front of a pair of spectacles 37 and contains in his rear half a striking mechanism, not shown. Near the lower edge of the side walls 34, the guide grooves 7 are milled. However, they do not extend as usual over the entire length of the carriage 5, wherein the carriage is inserted in the longitudinal direction in the guide. Thanks to the present invention arranged claws, the guide grooves 7 only need to extend over a little more than the front half of the carriage 5.
For the purpose of installation 7 perforations 38, 39 are provided in the grooves. The distance 40 between the openings 38, 39 is equal to that between the claws 23,24 of the housing-fixed guide elements 6. The position of the openings 38, 39 determines a mounting position in which the carriage 5 is simply placed on the housing 1 with the guides 6 , Then it is shifted by the length of the claws backwards into the operating position in which it is held so that it can not be moved forward. Only when operating a Zerleghebels not shown, it can be pushed back so far forward that the carriage 5 can be lifted upwards.
